Climate Finance Investments Accelerator
The Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) was developed with the support of the UK government over a seven-year period and served as a foundational precursor to the Climate Finance & Investment Accelerator LTD (CFiA), which was established to develop and implement a comprehensive set of training modules and processes to enhance the capacities of MSMEs across various climate-related sectors in Africa.
The core team of experts at CFiA brings extensive multidisciplinary experience in finance, sustainable finance, climate business strategies, capital markets, and emissions modeling. This expertise is critical in supporting the integration and reporting of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) co-benefits, which are fundamental to advancing sustainable finance aimed at building resilience through adaptation and mitigation.
In addition, the CFiA team actively supports businesses by facilitating connections to catalytic blended finance mechanisms. They also provide comprehensive support in greenhouse gas emissions reporting, project development, and navigating policy and regulatory frameworks across multiple climate-related sectors. The overarching goal is to mobilize financing for the climate change economy, thereby driving sustainable growth and development in the region.
